The Mobilizing Agenda for Business Innovation Wine and Vine Portugal aims to increase the competitiveness and resilience of the sector through 77.5 M€ of investment in R&D and Productive Innovation, Qualification and Internationalization, Empowerment of Human Resources and Dissemination of the "products" developed, intervening in 3 key areas of competitiveness - Sustainability; Automation, Innovation and productive efficiency; New processes and products - contributing to the digital, environmental and energy transition and the generation of activities with higher added value and intensive in knowledge, oriented, above all, to an increase in competitiveness, notoriety and diversification of the Portuguese wine in international markets.
The consortium comprises renowned entities, including wine producers, technological and capital goods companies, ENESII and Associations, in a joint synergy of projects organized into 10 WP. The Fraunhofer Portugal AWAM center will perform research of practical utility by developing, adapting, and applying process technologies to close water, energy and nutrient cycles.
